VEGETARIAN OF THE MONTH
-Chris B.
How long have you been a vegetarian? I guess I was born vegetarian. Because ever since I can remember I tried to hide my meat under the potatoes and eat all the veggies around it. Favorite vegetable. Spinach. It is just the greatest: green and lovely tasting, with pasta, rice, as dip, in salad... Other favorites? Vegetarian Indian Food. Chris's Favorite recipeSpinach Rice and Feta Cheese Gratin |
Chris B. I grew up
in Germany on a diet of meat and potatoes and hated every minute of every mealtime. I have
always loved the outdoors and to this day it is hard for me to stay inside. I remember
riding my bike to school and later college in Munich every day, rain, shine or hail. I
like to hike, run and bike ride. Since 1997 I have been a volunteer for the Leukemia
Society of America and participate in their Team In Training Cycle program. I also
produced and maintain the web site for their South Bay team I just started wall
climbing and want to learn sailing next since my husband and I want to move onto a
catamaran eventually. I love animals, always had dogs and want to be a Vet "when I
grow up". Until then I will continue to earn my money being a Web site producer.
Right now my mind is set on finding an Old English Sheepdog puppy for us and I can't wait
to find the right one. Most unusual place she has eaten vegetables. Hanging off a mountain side in the
Bavarian Alps.
How did you become a Vegetarian? Cows are one of my favorite animals... |
